using kdiff3 with kdesvn

I prefer to use kdiff3 with kdesvn. I configure kdesvn to use kdiff3 by setting the external command to 'kdiff3 %1 %2'

error message: could not find mime type application/octet-stream

A really annoying problem appeared after a while using the Kubuntu Feisty Fawn distribution. The above error message appeared everty time i clicked on an application / document icon in KDE.

The solution to this problem: delete the file
octet-stream.desktop from your ~/.kde/share/mimelnk/application directory.
